I am a bilingual editor, writer, and translator who specializes in proofreading and copyediting texts in Spanish and in English, translating texts from English to Spanish as well as from Spanish to English, revising translations in English and in Spanish, and managing content in English and in Spanish on WordPress. Additionally, I develop the Bilingual Guide to help native English speakers develop their Spanish writing skills and native Spanish speakers do so in English.
I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, by my Peruvian mother and American father, and I learned English and Spanish simultaneously at home and at the bilingual American School in Lima. After graduation, I moved to San Antonio, Texas, to study in St. Mary’s University, where I majored in marketing. Other than the cities I grew up and went to school in, I have lived and worked in Cusco, Peru; Miami, Florida; Seville, Spain; and Houston, Texas.
Living in each of these cities has enhanced my perception of the nuances in each language, so I take great care in using words that precisely convey the intended meaning. And experimenting with words and ideas while pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing has broadened my ability to work with language. Moreover, I have obtained editing certificates in English and in Spanish, and now I continue to learn words, rules, and styles both in English and in Spanish.
